FCS Solutions LTD. in Edmonton, Alberta, is a company that provides unique, industry-leading surface treatments and maintenance products to Western Canada. They needed a re-brand that was to include a logo and a web-site.
Before any web site work could be done, the company needed a logo to be its masthead for this re-brand campaign.
FCS's mandate focuses on issues of dependability, strength of research, and technological progressiveness. These ideas were married with visual cues associated with their products' uses to create this logo. The triple whammy of diamond/badge/tiles of the logo shape, coupled with the cool, clean colours, nicely encapsulates the character that FCS wanted to project.
FCS solutions was very much in need of an update to their online presence. They needed to develop a site that had strong visual impact, provided clear product information, and effectively communicated their corporate message.
A flash-based site was used to afford the highest possible eye candy factor. This, however, could not be employed at the expense of legibility, so a great deal of effort was put into creating a clear layout for the information.
The subdivision of the site's content was crafted in such a way as to maximise the scroll-free environment while ensuring a clean, uncluttered look. A swath of category icons and logos were designed which delineated the different sections of this site.
An independent copy-writer was hired in association with blee-ree-eyed to deliver the text that FCS required.
